Adele: Emotionale Dankesrede bei den Grammys

Adele (28) teilte ihre Grammy-Ehre mit der für sie besten Künstlerin: Beyoncé (35).

Es war Der Moment des Abends, als die megaerfolgreiche Britin ('Hello') auf die Bühne gerufen wurde, um den Grammy für das Album des Jahres in Empfang nehmen: Statt sich wie schon so oft gehört bei Gott, ihrem Management und den Fans für den prestigeträchtigen Award zu bedanken, lenkte Adele die komplette Aufmerksamkeit auf jene Künstlerin, die ihrer Meinung nach den Preis verdient gehabt hätte.

"Ich kann diesen Award unmöglich annehmen ... Ich fühle mich sehr geehrt und bin überwältigt, aber die Künstlerin meines Lebens ist Beyoncé", sagte die Pop-Ikone mit Tränen in den Augen. Adele hatte alle Rekorde mit ihrer Platte '25' gebrochen, doch in ihrem mp3-Player lief ein anderes Werk rauf und runter: 'Lemonade' von Beyoncé. "Dieses Album war einfach monumental", lobte Adele ihre Kollegin, die selbstverständlich im Publikum saß. "Es war so durchdacht und voller Seele ... Wir durften eine neue Seite von dir kennenlernen und wir danken dir dafür."

Die Grammy Awards wurden in Los Angeles verliehen und ehrten vor allem auch den verstorbenen Kult-Sänger David Bowie (+69). Die britische Ikone wurde posthum in fünft Kategorien geehrt, darunter für den besten Rocksong für 'Blackstar'.
