New York - Die "Eagles"-Scheibe "Their Greatest Hits 1971 - 1975" ist das meistverkaufte Album in den Usa.
Das ergab eine Erhebung der amerikanischen Platten-Industrie. Das Album wurde bis heute insgesamt 29 Millionen Mal verkauft. Damit verwiesen die "Eagles" den King of Pop, Michael Jackson, und sein Album "Thriller" mit 27 Millionen verkauften Tonträgern auf Platz zwei. Den dritten Platz sicherten sich "Led Zeppelin" mit dem Album "Led Zeppelin Iv", das sich insgesamt 23 Millionen Mal in den Usa verkaufte.
